MAX365, a fast-growing Chinese tea and coffee brand, is expanding into Nigeria with its first outlets in Ikeja, Lagos. As part of its entry into the Nigerian market, the company is hiring a Video Content Director to lead creative storytelling and digital content production.

This role is ideal for young professionals in Nigeria’s creative industry who have experience in video production and want to shape the visual identity of a new lifestyle brand.

  • Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

Job Role: Video Content Director

This is a mid-level creative leadership role focused on managing the full video production cycle, from concept to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Lead end-to-end video production, including concept development, scripting, storyboarding, filming, and post-production
  • Develop creative ideas tailored to Nigerian audiences across social media, commercials, and branded content
  • Handle pre-production planning such as location scouting, scheduling, and talent coordination
  • Direct on-set production, guiding crew members and presenters
  • Supervise editing, sound design, graphics, and color grading
  • Work closely with marketing and production teams to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Track media trends and audience behavior to improve content performance

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in video production (director, producer, or similar role)
  • Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating creative work
  • Ability to create engaging stories that resonate with Nigerian audiences
  • Practical knowledge of scripting, lighting, audio, and shot composition
  • Experience managing on-set teams and production workflows
  • Strong English communication skills; knowledge of local languages such as Yoruba, Hausa, or Igbo is an advantage
  • Understanding of Nigerian social media trends and content consumption patterns
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Salary

  • Monthly salary: ₦200,000 – ₦250,000
  • Final compensation is negotiable based on experience and portfolio strength
