BlueWave New Energy Technology Nigeria Company Limited is recruiting a skilled professional to lead inverter installation and commissioning projects in Lagos. This is a full-time, on-site role suited for candidates with hands-on experience in solar energy systems and technical team leadership.

The company, founded in 2023, focuses on delivering cost-effective and sustainable power solutions across Africa, with operations in Nigeria and research and manufacturing support from China.

Job Overview

  • Role: Inverter Maintenance, Commissioning & Installation Supervisor
  • Location: Lagos, Nigeria
  • Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: Approximately ₦650,000 monthly (inclusive of allowances and commission)

Role Summary

This position is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for overseeing solar inverter installations, commissioning processes, troubleshooting, and installation team performance. The goal is to ensure all systems meet high safety, reliability, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, Commissioning and Troubleshooting

  • Install and maintain off-grid and hybrid inverter systems
  • Configure inverter parameters and system settings
  • Set up lithium battery systems and BMS communication
  • Configure grid, generator, and PV switching logic
  • Conduct system testing and performance verification
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults, including:
    • Inverter alarms and system failures
    • Communication errors between components
    • Wiring issues and parameter mismatches
    • Power instability and performance problems

Team Leadership and Quality Control

  • Supervise installation engineers, technicians, and electricians
  • Ensure compliance with installation procedures and safety standards
  • Maintain high-quality installation practices, including:
    • Proper wiring and cable sizing
    • Effective grounding and electrical protection
    • Clean and professional site execution

Technical Support and Client Engagement

  • Provide technical guidance to customers and project stakeholders
  • Support internal teams and partner installers
  • Explain system functionality and best practices to clients
  • Handle after-sales technical issues and field support
  • Assist in training installers and technical partners

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare commissioning and maintenance reports
  • Document faults, diagnostics, and resolutions
  • Maintain accurate project handover records
  • Provide feedback to improve system performance and installation processes

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • HND or BSc in a relevant field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in solar or inverter systems
  • Strong knowledge of off-grid and hybrid inverter systems
  • Experience working with lithium battery systems (48V / 51.2V preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage installations from start to finish
  • Experience leading technical teams in field operations
