Job Role: Video Content Director
This is a mid-level creative leadership role focused on managing the full video production cycle, from concept to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Lead end-to-end video production, including concept development, scripting, storyboarding, filming, and post-production
- Develop creative ideas tailored to Nigerian audiences across social media, commercials, and branded content
- Handle pre-production planning such as location scouting, scheduling, and talent coordination
- Direct on-set production, guiding crew members and presenters
- Supervise editing, sound design, graphics, and color grading
- Work closely with marketing and production teams to meet deadlines and budgets
- Track media trends and audience behavior to improve content performance
Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in video production (director, producer, or similar role)
- Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating creative work
- Ability to create engaging stories that resonate with Nigerian audiences
- Practical knowledge of scripting, lighting, audio, and shot composition
- Experience managing on-set teams and production workflows
- Strong English communication skills; knowledge of local languages such as Yoruba, Hausa, or Igbo is an advantage
- Understanding of Nigerian social media trends and content consumption patterns
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Salary
- Monthly salary: ₦200,000 – ₦250,000
- Final compensation is negotiable based on experience and portfolio strength
