Are you a university student in Nigeria looking to break into the world of high finance and investment management? The ARM Young Talent Program (AYTP) 2026 has officially opened its doors for applications.

This prestigious internship is not just a summer job; it is a structured launchpad designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world financial operations. Held at the heart of Nigeria’s financial hub in Lagos, the AYTP offers students a rare seat at the table of one of the country’s most respected asset management firms.

Program Overview: What is the ARM AYTP?

The ARM Young Talent Program is an annual initiative by Asset & Resource Management Holding Company (ARM). It targets exemplary undergraduates who demonstrate a passion for excellence and a desire to learn the intricacies of:

  • Asset Management

  • Investment Banking

  • Financial Research

  • Stockbroking & Trusteeship

Throughout the program, interns are integrated into various business units where they work on meaningful assignments, receive professional mentorship, and collaborate on corporate projects that impact the firm’s bottom line.

Eligibility Criteria for 2026

To ensure a high standard of professional development, ARM has set specific academic and location requirements for the 2026 cohort:

  • Academic Standing: You must be a current university undergraduate.

  • Year of Study: Applicants must have completed at least two years of their degree program.

  • Grade Requirements: You should be on track for a First Class or Second Class Upper (2:1) degree (or the equivalent).

  • Availability: Successful candidates must be available to resume physically in Lagos by June 2026.

  • Nationality: The program is open to both National and International students who meet the physical presence requirement.

Desired Skills and Qualities

Beyond grades, ARM looks for “high-quality” individuals who possess a blend of soft and technical skills:

  1. Analytical Reasoning: The ability to look at data and find logical patterns.

  2. Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and teamwork.

  3. Creative Problem-Solving: A mindset that looks for innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  4. Collaboration: The ability to thrive in a team-based corporate culture.

Why Apply? The Value of a Finance Internship

In today’s competitive job market, having “ARM” on your CV serves as a powerful signal to future employers. Participants gain:

  • Industry Literacy: A deep understanding of how the Nigerian and global financial markets function.

  • Networking: Access to industry leaders and a peer group of high-achieving students.

  • Employability: Internships are the primary pipeline for graduate trainee programs.
