The Blue Ocean has announced the 2026 Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition, a global virtual entrepreneurship contest offering cash prizes of up to $1,000 USD for high school students with innovative business ideas.

Scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, the competition brings together high school–aged entrepreneurs from around the world to pitch original business concepts to experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders. The event is open to students worldwide and will be conducted entirely online.

According to the organizers, the annual competition attracts thousands of student participants each year, providing young innovators with the opportunity to receive professional feedback, build entrepreneurial skills, and connect with a global community of like-minded peers.

Competition Format and Experience

Participants pitch their business ideas to panels of judges drawn from the entrepreneurial and business community. In addition to competing for cash prizes, students gain exposure to real-world entrepreneurship, refine their presentation skills, and receive constructive feedback to help strengthen their ideas.

The competition is open to individual students or teams, encouraging collaboration and cross-school participation.
