The Graduate Engineer Trainee Programme is designed to equip young professionals with practical technical experience and hands-on exposure within a modern manufacturing environment.
About the Programme
Successful candidates will participate in an intensive engineering and operations training programme covering:
- Production operations
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Utilities management
- Process optimization
- Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
- Safety and quality systems
- Engineering project execution
Trainees will work closely with experienced engineering and production teams while gaining exposure to:
- Production and packaging machinery
- Utilities systems
- Automation technologies
- Manufacturing processes in FMCG operations
Key Responsibilities
Selected trainees will:
- Participate in structured engineering and operational training
- Learn the operation and maintenance of production equipment
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Monitor equipment performance and report technical issues
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Prepare technical and operational reports
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Automation/Instrumentation Engineering
- Minimum of:
- Second Class Upper (2:1), or
- Upper Credit
- Must not be more than 30 years old
- Must have:
- 0–2 years post-graduation experience
- Completed NYSC or currently serving
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including shift operations where required
- Passion for engineering and manufacturing processes
